Location

This well-known, hotel is located on a quiet bank. From here one is able to enjoy an especially magnificent view over Funchal, the mountains and the sea. The town centre is just 15 minutes away. There is a hotel shuttle bus service on offer. A link to the public transport network is to be found directly in front of the hotel. The sea is just 200 m away.

Facilities

Guests have a choice of 6 suites, 30 apartments, 30 studios, 24 single rooms and 200 double rooms located in a 9-storey main building and a 3-storey auxiliary building. The friendly staff at the reception desk are happy to answer any questions. Guests receive a welcome drink upon arrival. Amenities include a baggage storage service, safe, currency exchange service and cash machine. Wireless internet access (no extra charge) is provided in public areas. The tour desk offers assistance with booking excursions. A lift and wheelchair-accessible facilities are available. A number of shops, including a supermarket and souvenir shop, are great for shopping or just browsing. The grounds of the hotel feature a playground and a lovely garden. A wide range of indoor sporting activities are also offered, for example table tennis, billiards, darts and callisthenics or, for a fee, a gym and pilates. There is a wellness area with a spa, a steam bath, a hammam and a beauty salon and, for an additional fee, a sauna and massage treatments. Activity coordinators organise an entertainment programme for adults and children.

Meals

Dining facilities include a dining room, a café and a bar. A non-smoking restaurant with air conditioning, high chairs and a separate area for smokers is available to guests. Half board can be booked. A generous breakfast buffet guarantees a great start to the day. At lunch, guests can choose between à la carte and a set menu. Dinner options include a buffet and à la carte. Diet meals, gluten-free meals and vegetarian dishes can be prepared on request. The hotel also offers special catering options. The hotel offers a selection of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages.
